Description

Navigator is a modular programme for men to decide on the next steps for their development equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to go forward.

Features of the Programme

‘Navigator’ has five main ingredients:

  • An individual workbook - full of development exercises for you to work through in your own time
  • Four one-day workshops - spread over four months, so that you are only away from work for one day at a time, and can integrate learning into everyday life
  • Coaching partnerships - mutual support for you throughout the programme
  • Networking - to encourage you to build up and use their range of professional or personal contacts
  • A guest speaker at each session, who will talk about their professional and life journey and other experiences

The programme is specifically designed for all male members of staff to:

  • Review their progress to date

  • Re-energise their career

  • Develop hidden talents

  • Set practical goals and realistic action plans

  • Deal better with stress and change

  • Put themselves across better

  • Make the contacts and support to make things happen

  • Balance work with home life

  • Each participant sets their own agenda

Your Trainer

Hugh Dennis, BA (Hons) MCIPD. Hugh’s style is energetic and empowering. He runs ‘Navigator’ programmes across the country as well as training new ‘Navigator’ trainers.

The taster session

Following success at other Universities, ILIaD are currently investigating the feasibility of bringing the programme to Southampton. After the session, feedback from participants will help us make the decision whether to proceed with the full programme.

Please note: Attending the taster session places you under no obligation to attend the full programme.

We will provide coffee and cake, but do feel free to bring your lunch with you.
